Small teams armed with powerful agents.
Aulus is structured around one belief about labor: a small, dedicated team with unlimited agents outbuilds a large one with process. There are no limits on AI tooling here, no approval queues, no seats rationed by finance. Using agents is not encouraged. It is expected.
Build the world you would like to live in. Make beautiful things. It is possible to work hard and live a fulfilling life. How you do anything is how you do everything.
§1 How we work
The company runs like the product: a small number of people directing a large number of machines. Every engineer runs a fleet of agents. Every designer ships production code. Every hire raises the ratio of output to headcount, or we do not make it.
We hire for slope, not pedigree. The people who do well here are the ones who cannot leave a broken thing alone, who would rather ship the fix than schedule the meeting about it.
§2 The method
Here's how we develop great products:
- 01 Cycle timeCycle time is everything. The faster you ship, the faster you learn.
- 02 Intense focusScope small. Ship fast. Iterate in tight loops to stay close to real feedback.
- 03 Speed over everythingMove fast. It is that simple.
- 04 Delete the partIf something feels off, delete the part that doesn't make sense. Make it less dumb.
- 05 No silosFlat organization. Break down walls between developers, product thinkers, and users.
- 06 Design cultureIt is not enough to make functional products, they must be beautiful.
- 07 No backlogIf the idea's good, it'll come back. If not, it's noise. Stay focused.
- 08 No bullshit meetingsOnly meet when needed. And only with people who need to be there.
§3 Open positions
We are building the eyes of a $250B market, then its rails. The schedule in Memo No. 001 is public, and it does not keep itself. These are the seats it requires.
